You’re about to get to know many more random things about me but if I could only tell you one, hmm lets make it two things, it would be how much I love human connection and my love of story-telling. Photography is what I use to combine these two loves of mine & I can’t wait to show you more as you dream up the way I’ll story tell your connection!
I saw what was lacking in pictures. Behind all of the stiff poses and forced smiles, the genuine connection was missing. I was guilty of it myself, showing up to my own engagement session in a outfit I wouldn’t typically wear, giving my fiance the pep talk to just follow our photographers instructions, and try not to make any weird faces. Like what is that? I felt like we had to look a certain way, and to put on a show of the “ideal” couple.

I want you to throw the word “ideal” out of your mind. Photographers talk too much about their “ ideal client”. With me, there is no such thing as ideal. I want you to genuinely have the time of your life taking pictures with me, and not just pretend you’re having the time of your life.

I want to be up front with you
If you’re on the search for someone to direct you exactly how to stand, or to perfectly lay down your wedding dress for each shot- I’m not your gal. I won’t be moving your furniture around to create a more “esthetically pleasing” space, I won’t be editing out picture frames on the walls or clutter around the house. I’ll never tell you to “ go and give your mom a hug” or “ quick, pretend to laugh” ew barf that makes me CRINGE.
What I crave is the real moments, when hugs naturally happen or when you can’t contain your ugly man-laugh. Lived- in homes are the best homes in my opinion, where toys are out and your toddler still has breakfast smudged on their cheeks. So please, don’t feel like you need to hide away your meaningful.
